Scanning for hardware changes does not detect/install the battery device. Is there a way to get this device/driver restored without creating havoc in the OS (i.e. Overwrite current settings and configurations). Hello, Syed, Thanks for the reply. There does not seem to be a driver for the UPS unit - I have scoured the vendors website to no avail. I do have a Windows 7 box that is working correctly with the same UPS unit, and Windows 7 identifies the device on the Control Panel Device Manager under 'Batteries' heading with a signature of: Driver provider: CyberPower Date: Version: 2.3.0.0 Signer: Microsoft Hardware Compatibility Publisher. When I click for Driver details, it says no driver is required, and yet there is an option to uninstall the device. That is the option I took in Windows 10 that started this whole issue (though Windows 10 was not able to establish communication to the UPS via the USB interface). Both Windows 7 and Windows 10 showed the same information prior to my selection of the 'uninstall the device' on the Windows 10 machine.
